A Geek Clock – Version 1.1 Released

This past week I’ve been working on updating A Geek Clock and finally finished yesterday. I submitted to the App Store and Version 1.1 was approved by the App Store today. For those of you that have already downloaded A Geek Clock, you should receive an update notification and for those of you that haven’t had a chance to download A Geek Clock, now would be a great time.

I’ve added 4 more colors to choose from for the LED’s and have also set the status bar to be hidden so that when you start A Geek Clock all you see is the clock and no status bar. With Version 1.1 I am also introducing themes. Version 1.1 comes with 1 extra theme, that being the Matrix theme. More themes to come in future releases. One other change in version 1.1 is that you can now choose different LED colors for your hours, minutes and seconds.

You can check out A Geek Clock on the App Store and you can also check it out here if you want to see some screen shots of the updated version.

Light Keys – Submitted to the App Store

I’ve submitted another application that I developed to the app store today. The application, Light Keys, is a piano for your iPhone / iPod Touch.

With Light Keys, you can have hours of fun playing tunes on your iPhone / iPod Touch. It’s also fun for kids, do you have a little one that could use some entertaining? Just start up Light Keys and watch in amazement when it keeps them occupied for hours.

Light Keys will be available as a free download from the app store and within a few weeks I will release a Pro version of Light Keys that can be purchased for $.99. More info to come when the app has been approved.

A Geek Clock – Submitted to the App Store

My latest iPhone / iPod Touch development has been submitted to Apple’s App Store. It is currently sitting in an “In Review” status. It was rejected once already because of the non-public API method setDeviceOrientation.

I just thought I’d share this information with other developer’s just in case you didn’t read the Terms or otherwise are not aware of this. If you use any non-public API methods in your iPhone app and submit it to the App Store, it will most likely be rejected.

A Geek Clock works on the same principle as the Binary Watch App but is far more advanced and has many more features. For instance, you can pick from a variety of colors to use for the LED’s as well as choose between a 12 and 24 hour format. You also have the option to override the devices default Auto-Lock setting, this is useful if you want to keep the clock running while having it sit on a nightstand or end table.

Another option that’s included is called Learning Mode, which allows you to turn on or off a learning mode which displays the time and the binary numbers to the right of the clock.

More information will be made available when the app is officially available on the App Store.

Feedback is always welcome and appreciated.
