Convert To Mayan was submitted to the App Store last week and has been approved and is now available for download from the App Store. Convert to Mayan, simply put is an app for the iPhone and iPod touch that converts decimal numbers to Mayan numerals.
Convert to Mayan is simple and easy to use and can convert decimal numbers up to 25,599,999,999. Numerals are separated by blocks with each block representing a number from 0 to 19. With a total of 8 blocks it makes it possible to convert decimal numbers up to 25,599,999,999.
To use Convert To Mayan, you simply launch the app and input your decimal number that you wish to convert into the input field at the top and then click on the Convert button.
From what I hear, there is at least 1 college level Math class that requires you to learn the Mayan base-20 counting system. Now I’m not trying to discourage anyone from actually learning how to convert decimal to base-20 but this tool does make it easier when you have to deal with larger numbers.
